'Tis the day after Christmas and all through the house, nothing was stirring not even a mouse. That's because everyone is at the mall right now returning, exchanging, and even getting Christmas presents. With the economy being the way it is at the moment every penny counts. Stores are doing even more to lure customers in for the holiday money that will trickle in through the new year.
For the first time ever I saw Christmas goods on sale for 50% off the day before Christmas! It was at the CVS near my home. Santa hats, stockings and lights were all on sale prior to the holiday even happening, and there were already shelves filled with Valentines day candies, and cards. In my experience the 50% off is usually reserved for the day after Christmas, as is setting up the decorations for the following holiday.
I know a few people who were planning to buy all their gifts after the holiday had past specifically to take advantage of the post holiday sales. It just goes to show times are a little tight for most.

I went to the Independence Mall on Christmas Eve and FYE was having what I believe was a going out of business sale, a bunch of stuff was like 50% off. It was crazy.
