Target's long awaited Stoughton location is open. The addition to the box store on Turnpike St. seems to be pretty good so far. They put in numerous traffic lights to help with what had been a pretty hectic intersection.
I went inside today to pick up a couple of basics. No surprise it is just like every Target I have ever been in, just about down to the layout, although some items are shifted here and there, it is easy to navigate once you've been to one. But there are a few things that were noticeably different. For starters, this Target is upstairs with covered parking below. I sort of like that, because I am not a fan of big box stores and how they tend to swallow landscapes up, it makes the property footprint a bit smaller. They have stairs, escalators and elevators to go up and down. Sadly only one static stair case to the 2 elevators and 2 escalators. The cool contraption is the cart escalator that you put your cart into and it goes down on a belt. I can imagine it being a problem if is really busy, but the two elevators are pretty large.
The other nice difference is the Starbucks inside. That was the first I have seen, usually they just have their food court that is selling some unhealthy foods. It is a step in the right direction and a good start for this new location.

Yeah Amy like you said, its pretty much what I expected. A little bigger than the Target I have near me and laid out slightly different but nothing unexpected.
I'm eager to check out the electronics section next time I'm in there. See what they have for a video game and movie selection. Judging on the size of the store I'm assuming it'll be pretty decent.
