Informed Retail ™

It looks like a new Target is going in down the street from my office in Stoughton and thats fine by me. We could use a nice big department store around here. I’ll take a Target over a Walmart any day. I’m not a big fan of the Walmart monopoly and their shady dealings. They run all of their competition out of business, and pay their workers minimum wage. But that’s just one guys opinion. I’m sure a lot of people have nothing but praise for Walmart.

The construction has really slowed the flow of traffic down in the area, but in the long run I’m sure it will be worth it. If you want to make an omelette you’re gonna have to break a few eggs. And besides I think they’re starting to reach the tail end of the construction so the traffic congestion should start to ease up soon.

So hopefully the store will be open by November as planned. The area seems like it could use a store like target. There isn’t a whole lot around the area. You have a bunch of office buildings, but besides that, not much else. A few stores here and there. A lot of people are probably going to disagree with me, stating the overwhelming out of town traffic will be brutal. I know when they put the IKEA in a couple years back, the traffic was heavy to say the least, so yes I’m sure it will be annoying for a while, but I really think Target will be a good addition to the area.
