Digg is linking to a story at Engadget saying that CompUSA is closing for good after the holidays! I’m doubtful that the entire operation will be shuttered. My guess is that they will retain and revamp the website at least. There has got to be some residual value in the CompUSA brand.
I had decent experiences with CompUSA, better than my experiences at BestBuy. I found their prices to be a little high, but at least straightforward, without high pressure sales.
As you can see in this picture, Staples is replacing the former tenant, CompUSA.
