I completed another mystery shop this morning for a dry cleaners nearby:
At drop-off, I noticed some signs alerting me of an upcoming holiday closure, and I was glad to see the signs were professional and not hand-drawn as they sometimes are. At pick up, I noticed the hanger “recycle” bin was right next to a trash barrel, and the hangers had simply been thrown into the trash barrel! Other than that, the facility was in good order.
Albery has been there a while and she does a good job. She was friendly and courteous, and spoke in full sentences. She said the usual, “Hello, I can help you over here.”, then asked “Are there any special instructions?”, and upon leaving she said the clothes would be ready on Sunday after 5PM.
Christianne greeted me by asking “Can I help you?”, then asked for my phone number, asked for my last name, and then said she would fetch my clothes. I think it is better for the CSR to ask the customer for their name rather than the CSR saying the customer’s name for them to confirm it - more privacy and accuracy. Once she got my clothes, she said the total, I paid, and she said “Thank you Mr. X, have a nice day!” She was very friendly throughout the interaction.
This order contained a lot of my wife’s clothes, and it was packaged well on hangers, and a sweater in a bad. There were no special instructions.
My wife’s clothes are more expensive to clean, but I think that is because of the special fabrics. The fact that the hangers from the “recycle” bin were in the trash annoyed me and made me feel that I was being lied to, but I can’t confirm that the hangers were removed from the bin and thrown away.
