I use FatWallet and Upromise for making my online purchases to get a little cash back when I can, or save a little money for college.
These sites can be a little tricky to use sometimes, so I have devised these tips for using them:
- Browse the site in one browser (I use Camino), and when you are ready to buy, use another browser to click through FatWallet and Upromise (I use Safari for this)
- Make your purchase quickly, without going to other sites
- Keep notes using FatWallet’s pop-up window (UPromise doesn’t provide a note taking system)
Speaking of FatWallet, I finally donated my charity bucks today. I chose the Electronic Frontier Foundation as I have donated to them before. I believe the are instrumental in the evolution of open source software. Keep up the good work guys!
