Can't have a retail blog without mentioning Wal-mart, right? MarketWatch is reporting that Wal-Mart is taking aim at electronics retailers, but this isn't exactly new. Wal-Mart made headlines weeks (or months?) ago when it started selling flat panel tvs at a deep discount, slashing the profit margins at stores like Tweeter and BestBuy.
Now they are selling laptops and notebooks for extra cheap. For example, they are selling the Everex Stepnote NC1502 for only $478. Not a bad price, I actually bought two refurbished Everex laptops from them awhile back for $399 a piece.
